Mighty Mule openers do not all use the same control board or alarm sequence. A short burst of three beeps, three repeating groups and an alarm that sounds while the gate moves should not automatically be treated as the same fault.

Before troubleshooting, record:

  • The opener model and any control-board identification visible without disturbing wiring.

Mechanical resistance can make an otherwise functional opener stop or reverse. Look for sagging hinges, a dragging gate edge, damaged brackets or debris in a sliding gate’s track.
