A useful diagnosis separates gate movement from operator performance. Replacing an opener will not correct a bent track, failing hinge, or shifting support post.
For a swing gate, inspection focuses on hinge wear, post stability, frame alignment, and the operator’s attachment points. For a slide gate, the track or cantilever hardware, rollers, guide assemblies, and drive components need attention.

Compare the complete scope, not just the first replacement part. An estimate should distinguish mechanical repairs, operator work, safety-device work, and any unresolved conditions that could affect the result.
Maintenance starts with keeping the gate’s path clear and noticing changes in movement. New scraping, jerking, sagging, or unusually loud operation deserves attention before the operator is forced to work against more resistance.
Keep slide-gate tracks free of debris where applicable. Check accessible hardware visually for looseness, corrosion, or impact damage. Use only the lubrication points and products specified for the installed hardware; not every roller or bearing requires added lubricant.
